Bringing vintage cinema into the 21st century
Nostalgia cinema aims to reinvigorate the category through creating the new 'Netflix' for vintage cinema lovers. The brief was simple: create an identity that references the history of cinema and brings it into the modern age. We immediately dived into researching the world of film and the rich history it contains. After finding incredible typographic posters as well as the beautiful type found in film intros & credits, we wanted to create an identity that merged vintage cinema & contemporary typography.
The result, was a clean, bold logo that referenced the 3D, slanted film titles of the 1920s & 30s and dragged it into the 21st century through more contemporary & timeless styling.
